Did you purchase your domain from Shopify or from a third party like GoDaddy? If you purchased it from a third party, the renewal settings would be within your third party dashboard. If your domain was purchased on Shopify, you can turn on automatic renewal within the Shopify admin in your domain settings.

Thanks for reaching out about this. I ran a WHOIS search on the domain and was able to see that it is hosted by a third party. I'd recommend getting in touch with the host of your domain directly for help with getting the domain renewed as it wouldn't be possible to renew third party domains within your Shopify admin.

I bought the domain from Shopify. There is no option in the "Shopify-managed domains" section to click renew add forward email. I need to renew it but can't do. I read all the helps but nothing mention about this?

If the domain was purchased from Shopify, you can automatically renew your domain subscription in your Shopify admin provided the domain hasn't already expired. Here are the steps to do that:
If you do not have auto-renewal enabled for your domain, then you need to manually renew your domain to prevent it from expiring. If your domain subscription does expire, then you have 40 days to contact Shopify support who can manually renew the domain in it's grace period. You cannot renew an expired domain yourself.
Thanks for your reply. The problem is that there is no options for me to manually renew the domain since somehow Shopify considered my domain is from a 3rd party. But in fact, it was purchased from Shopify. It took awhile for your staff to figure it out and reset my domain. It was fixed. Thank you.

If you have a custom domain that you bought through Shopify, then I would recommend transferring it to another provider before closing the account. If you have a custom domain that you bought through a third-party, then you can remove it from your store using your Shopify admin. If you don't remove your domain from your Shopify store before closing it, then you might not be able to use it for another website.
