All things Shopify and commerce
I am just wondering if it is just me or if anyone else has noticed a change to the Shopify Products Section. I've got a lot of products that I've imported into my store from CJ Dropshipping. I've been going through and editing the prices for all of the products. It used to be very easy as you would be able click on Edit Prices and you would be able to edit all the prices at the same time. It would at the same time tell you what the cost of the item was and what the profit margin was. That made it easier to set prices as you'd be able to see things right away. I however have noticed a change with Shopify where you can no longer see the cost or the profit margin when you are setting the price of an item. You basically have to guess now and then go into each item to see the cost and the profit margin and hope that you got it right the first time. I'm wondering if I'm the only one that has noticed this or if other's have noticed this and as to why Shopify did that. All they did was make things harder instead of easier by doing that.
I have the same issue. It was a lot more convenient before. You could see all the information you needed on one page: margin, profit, SKU, barcode, weight, And it was so easy to edit. I also don't understand why Shopify did this. If those fields were available in the bulk editing section it would be great, but they were completely removed! Even my web developer was confused as to why they removed it! Many businesses require this information to provide customers with a good price, and it seems like Shopify did not put a second thought into warning people about the removal of this information. You must add this information back to Shopify since most likely thousands of businesses will be impacted by this issue when they figure it out.
Thank you. I was just wondering as I wasn't sure if that was something that was just happening to me or if it was happening to everyone. Based upon your reply it's obvious that it's happening to other people as well and that is something that I personally think Shopify should fix.
