How can I cancel my subscription and close my online store?

I thought I had cancelled my shopify a few days before the next billing cycle, as I had lost interest in making my business. But, yesterday, 10/9/23 I recieved a notification saying that I was going to be billed for $400. I really dont have the money for that, considering I am a student. Is there any way I can get my store closed and the subscription ended?

Greetings,

I'm also facing frustrations with shopify. I deactivated from the services and yet I still get charged. The worst of all, is they have gone further to deduct ksh 62,0036.52 from my card. this is  not fair at all. I need direct/live channel to get refund. Using live support from what you have suggested is not of help at all. I tried signing up trial again but nothing helpful...kindly treat this as urgent!!!

As much as I'd love to assist you here, we don't have the ability to securely access accounts.   1. Visit our Help Center.
  2. Chat with the AI assistant and specifically enter "account concern."

hey hows it going. Ive been having a similar issue with this regards to being charged monthly. this being said i do not have the money to pay this subscription and would like to cancel. before you say go to the Help Centre, i have done this many times and its saying i cant go further because my details arent "updated" even though i have updated them fully. ive also tried to login to my shopify admin through my store but cant access it becuase my free trial has ended and its asking for another payment for me to do so. if you could help me out in any way that would be much appreciated thank you.

While you are required to pay any outstanding fees in order to successfully deactivate your shop, you can connect with us directly if you're having troubles doing so. This will allow our support team to get you authenticated, as we wouldn't have access to account-specific information through the Community.

 

As you're unable to access your shop, you can follow these exact steps:

 

  • Head over to our Help Center: https://shopify.link/KWb8
  • In the virtual chat assistance, type 'I can't log in'
  • This will populate a few resources, where after a minute or two you should see the option to select 'I still need help'
  • Click 'Account Support'
  • Scroll down to see the link to chat in
