All things Shopify and commerce
So I've had this issue where I'll set a buy x get y based on collections, and the system will allow a customer to choose the smaller item as the full priced item, and the larger or higher priced item as the half off item.
For example, buy x get y 50% off, and I'll choose a certain collection. So a customer will put the full price one in, and it'll be like $20. Then, the discount gives them 50% off their next item..which is a $150 item, netting them $75 off off the bigger item.
Is there any way, aside from separating all the collections into similar priced items or entering every single item into multiple discounts, to get the thing to acknowledge that it should be halving the price of the smaller item?
This has happened twice this month.
Hi, @WrenRA
Greetings, and thanks for posting!
That is definitely a strange situation. By default, if the conditions of the customer buys and customer gets are the same (i.e. products from the same collection), the lowest priced product will receive the discount.
Are you potentially using any discount apps? While I can absolutely assist if you provide screenshots of your discount set up, it would be easier to for you to reach out to our Live Support Advisors as they will be able to pull up your account and escalate to our Technical Team if necessary.
In the meantime, if you would like to continue working here please provide screenshots of your Buy X Get Y discount set up. as well as a link to the collection you are experiencing this with.
