Hello @David_Mil12 !
A completed Shopify POS order is marked in your Orders screen as Unfulfilled, you can't mark it as fulfilled from the Shopify POS app. You must log in to your Shopify admin to fulfill the order.
You can mark an order as fulfilled while it's still in the cart.
Steps
From the home screen of the Shopify POS app, tap More actions.
Under CART, enable Mark as fulfilled.
Tap Close and then continue with the order
Hope this helps!
Thanks,

Multi-channel, brick and mortar shoe store. Just started a few weeks ago with Shopify online and with the POS. We are an old school shop and do a fair amount of special orders (unfulfilled POS transactions).
When a customer comes to pick up a special order, we need the ability to mark the transaction "fulfilled" and close that out directly on the POS terminal.
@DigitalArtisans if Shopify wants to dominate the footwear and clothing POS/ERP world, this is a 100% necessity.
Please push an update for this asap! Having to mark an order fulfilled on the admin account is another step a brick and mortar sales person needs to take and another point of potential mistakes. Simplicity is key and should be implemented on the POS.
Thanks and please respond!
I'm not in the apparel space, but this is a key feature for us as well. BOPUS is a major revenue driver for brick and mortar locations, and right now my front of house staff can't mark non-physical goods as fulfilled when people come in. For example for services.
We run a store that customers drop of an order for us to fix then pick it up once it’s ready. There can be multiple hands/people touching the job but they all don’t have access to our stores admin to mark jobs as fulfilled but do have access to the pos. We address this by having to have a meeting daily to make sure we all know what’s fulfilled and what’s still going but it means double handling every job just to stay organised. I hope they add this feature soon so that it can simplify the order management. I love Shopify but this has been an issue for us for a long time.
Any workarounds to automatically fulfill POS orders? Maybe using the Flow App to set an automation?
