How to enable customer customization for pet tags and increase site speed?

Hey, I am attempting to start selling custom cat and dog tags and was wondering how I would make so customers would be able to input there pets name, they're phone #, etc. How would I do this?

Also before I had decided to do a bit of a rebrand I "crushed" all my photos and my speed score actually went down a few days after doing that. Is there any free ways to get my site speed to increase.
