Hello, I currently have an outstanding bill which i thought i cancelled my plan before the bill, it currently hasn't gone through.

I was wondering if i freeze my shopify for 90 days or bring it down to the 9$ plan where you can edit it but noone can purchase off of it that it will reset the outstanding bill or i just have to pay 9$ and not the 30+ its requesting

So I just wanted to clarify with you - are you thinking of permenantly closing the store, or do you wish to continue working on it as you mentioned?
It is just that if there is an outstanding invoice such as what you have now, it would need to be settled before you continue to use your account, regardless of whether it is on a Paused Plan or a full paid plan.

Also, the current outstanding invoice needs to be paid before you can change your plan, which is why it wouldn't work for you to change it to a lower plan and only pay the $9
If you do settle the invoice, and then you fully close your store right after, you will be able to enquire about a refund with us. Here are the steps on how you can fully close your store:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.

  2. Click Cancel subscription or Pause or cancel subscription.

  3. Review the options to pause your subscription, or sell your store.

  4. If you still want to cancel, then click Cancel subscription and close store.

  5. Select a reason for the cancellation, and then click Continue.

  6. Enter your password, and then click Close store.

Once you have completed the above steps, you can go ahead and contact our support through this link here and we will be able to look into a refund for you. The reason that you will need to go through that link is because we are not currently able to look into your account information throught the Shopify Community.
