I have just started using Shopify on a Hebrew store website.

There any way to support to RTL for the Hebrew language?

Thank you! your help is very helpful. However, I came across a further problem where my website is 2 languages (English and Hebrew) therefore when I apply the code it changes the English version (which is of course, not wanted). How can I solve this problem?

Thanks!

Hey, in case anyone would wander into this thread looking for RTL solutions for Shopify - since there's still no right-to-left support built-in in Shopify, I modified one of Shopify's basic themes to support right-to-left. It doesn't have fancy design features, but does have sort/filter - I made it to be super simple and affordable. Head to my website for details: https://www.olessiabourgart.com/shopify-themes

Hello,

I hope you are doing great.

Can you tell me please where do I added this code? I'm familiar with editing themes codes and theme.liquid but idk which line should I insert this code and do I have to add <html/> twice after writing it so it can work ? Because I see that you opened two <html> in this code.

Please answer me I need it badly for my client who is holding me in my throat.

Hello,

I hope you are doing good,

To be honest it's easy to do as you said when you only use 1 language, the problem everyone is facing is when you use 2 languages with different directions like English and Arabic. One is RTL, the other is LTR. For me, I didn't find a free solution after months now, do you have any suggestions?

The only solution is RTL master but not only the premium plan but the ultimate plan which is so damn expensive that I can't afford it.

Hey,
There's no simple solution and that's why they are charging premium.

First thing you need to do is to change the "dir" attribute on the body
element from "ltr" to "rtl" when you use Arabic.

Second thing that will require most of the time is going all over your
site's css and changing properties like "padding-right" to
direction-agnostic properties like "padding-inline-end". These properties
then behave according to this "dir" property rather than be fixed in their
direction.

Some css properties don't have a direction-agnostic eqivalent, like
"right". Then you'll need to add an overriding style for the case of when
"dir=rtl".

And then probably there will be more stuff that still works ltr that will
need to be fized on a case by case basis.

This requires some knowledge of css to accomplish.

Hope that helps!
