Hello @VBYSUKI.

Thanks for reaching out.

When you are trying to add the YouTube video to your online store, could you let us know where you are attempting to add it? The error could be from an invalid character from the video URL or coding within the video. If you are wanting to Add the Video to a Products Description, you can do so by selecting on the video icon within the product description. I took a screenshot of my test store to show you the icon I am referring to:

Alternatively, you can select on Add media from URL and attempt to use the YouTube video URL to have it added.

Let me know if that does the trick!

Hey @VBYSUKI.

Thanks for the quick reply.

It looks like that is the correct method to add the YouTube video to the online store. However, I noticed that when I attempt to navigate to the YouTube URL that you are adding, it looks like the videos privacy setting is set to private. This could very well be the reason that the Debut theme cannot load the videos metadata.

You may need to make the set video privacy setting to public in order to have it added to your online store. I did come across to finding YouTube's guide on Changing the Video Privacy Setting.

Let me know if that works for you.

Yes it is currently on private because I do not want anyone viewing the video.

I did try that though where I then made the video public on YouTube, and was able to search it from my phone and everything.

but still was showing that same error.

Hello, how did you manage to make your link works?

I have the same metadata error so I tried your link on my player and it worked.

I did not receive any resolution for the same. But it started to work automatically after 2 days.

Yet another Shopify issue that has no solution.....I can't get my video to post either.  Should be a simple process, but it never seems to be with shopify.  Soooooo disappointed with this company.  Nothing but frustrations!!!

The solution is just to wait if you upload the video today give it a day or two and it will load

I HAVE FIGURED THIS OUT.  I HOPE IT HELPS.

If you get this error:

Go to your SHORTS in youtube

find the video you want to copy and paste into shopify link box

Right click or if on a mac hit control button and click in box at the same time

choose  COPY VIDEO URL

go to another page in the browser and paste the link in the search bar at the top

CHANGE within that link SHORTS/ to watch?v=

Hit enter and it will bring up a regular youtube video

Then: go to share and copy

That is the link to paste into shopify link and it will work.

make sure the link is not the youtube shortened one. when copying a video link from youtube you might get shorten url so you have to replace 'https://youtu.be/'  with 'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v='  example https://youtu.be/hY7m5jjJ9mM to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hY7m5jjJ9mM
