Why is my account review taking longer than usual?

My account has been under review for 8 weeks and counting. The review means that my payouts are on hold. I have contacted support multiple times but I keep being told that it’s a standard review and I just need to wait. The help centre indicates a standard review is a couple of days so this seems like any thing but standard. Is anyone else having this issue? 
I only just started my business and I need the payout to order more stock so I can continue to trade. While thousands of my $$ are being held by shopify with no date in sight to pay me out they, on the other hand, are having no issue taking my monthly sub from my account. Very frustrating indeed!
