Why isn't my slideshow functioning properly?

hello, my slideshow isn't working. I've set it to automatic and the images are not too big I've tested out using the free sample pictures and the slideshow still doesn't work, please help

thanks for the reply, I've checked everything you mentioned and I've even changed each picture's dimensions and it's still not working
