I'm getting a ton of spam messages through my store and my reCaptcha is enabled but I don't see it on my contact page. I've cleared cache, have checked with other browsers and computers and still haven't seen the reCaptcha anywhere. Why isn't this working? I need these messages to stop .....please

Yes, Google reCaptcha is a free service.
I've opened several Shopify support tickets and none of them could help me. Why didn't they just tell me about this? Thank you so much!
Just to stay on the same page and because I stumbled over this thread to find a solution for my own issue. On my Shop the reCaptcha wasn't visible at all.
I wonder about this solution? As I know, there's no way to integrate the Site Key nor the Secret Key? Or did you edited the <head> section of the Theme?
In my case it was a bad coded APP that broke the code in theme.liquid.
From what I see there is no way to integrate the keys in Shopify. People offer advice but don't follow through with how to actually fix the issue. What good is generating keys if they can't be used?
What do we do after we see the generated keys? No other information was given on where to input this info within Shopify.

You should be able to manage your reCaptcha settings via your 'Online Store' > 'Preferences' section of your Shopify Admin. Unfortunately, I still don't get it. Are you suppose to put the Captcha Key somewhere, or? Why else should you generate a key?
In the Online Store/Preferences, you can only activate/deactivate Captcha.
Strange behaviour from Captcha on the Contact page. It doesn't appear from the start, only if you try to send a message without any info.
If I enter the info, I can send a message without any captcha.

Thanks for following up with me, Kim! You should be able to make use of Shopify's reCaptcha tooling without needing to use any additional information or keys from Google. Considering that the key you're referring to was generated by steps advised by a third party, I'm not able to speak on what their intentions were in regards to how to use this key. I do recommend that you reach out to our Authenticated Support Team so we can assist you with resolving any issues you're experiencing with your reCaptcha tools.
