How to successfully use the CustomerDataErasure API in a Python script?

I was wondering if anyone has had any success using the api for customerDataErasure? I am writing to use it in a python script but the mutation does not work within the graphql explorer. I know it is new for the version 01/2024 but just curious if anyone had success with it.
