Feedback for your online store from the community
Hello, I hope all of you are ok today. I started shopify 5 years ago. The entire time I had this site I received no online sales. At the beginning of things I was thinking maybe I had to establish my presence. Im a streetwear fashion brand. I design and distribute apperel. I have used different social platforms for advertisement. I never had trouble getting traffic, but the real problem is converting sales. When ever I ask clients for feedback about my site. They tell me everything looks good, including my manufacturer im partner with. Now, I feel that I'm about ready to give up. I feel its pointless to pay for something that doesn't work. My website has been more of a prop in my case. I'm starting to think the world hates me. I do not mind constructive criticism. Can anyone help. My website urbanmagix.com
Hey Antoine,
I checked out your site. It’s not bad. I did notice that when your images load, they come in pixelated and then turn sharp. That implies to me that your images may be a lot bigger than they need to be. This could be hurting your SEO. I’m not positive, but maybe.
Also, I see you have a “subscribe to email” form. Do you have many names on your email list? If so, using the new Shopify-Marketing-Email campaigns could get you some orders. I did my first one earlier today. It worked way better than my FB or IG ads.
Don’t give up! You have a cool idea.

Hi @Antoine_Green_I !
Welcome to Shopify and I wish you good luck!
If your website is credible, you’ll be able to generate more site traffic.
One of the best ways to gain credibility is to leverage your relationships with influencers. You can approach this tactic in many different ways.
If you have the means, you can use celebrities to promote your brand.
That’s because these people are already known and trusted. Working with a celebrity shows your brand is legitimate. The problem is it’s obvious to consumers these celebrities are getting paid to pitch your products or services. As an alternative solution, you can use micro-influencers. One of the top reasons why I’m an advocate for using micro-influencers is because they have high engagement rates with their followers.
Use a referral program that will encourage your existing customers to share your products with their friends by giving discounts if the latter have purchased something from your store. With referral programs it is important to carefully set up so that you are not giving huge discounts and not getting anything back. [I recommend using one by Growave., because it is safe and it is integrated with 6 other marketing features (Reviews, Wishlist, Rewards, Social Login, Instagram, Discounts, Referral, VIP tiers) for better performance.
Hopefully, I managed to help you. If so, please let me know by liking this post.
Just like said above your website looks pretty good.
I would like to introduce you to retargeting campaign to try to boost up your sale. If your store have reached your an amount of audience you should consider set up retargeting campaigns to efficiently boost up sales. Retargeting campaigns allow you to re-engage and remind customer of your brand after leaving your website and offer product and product informations they viewed with different kinds of attractive ad creatives. In other words, the goal for a retargeting campaign is awareness and conversion. You can start by installing the Ako Retargeting app on the Shopify app store. AkoRetargetingisa cost-efficient tool that could help your business increase awareness and conversion. The app helps you get your potential customers back to your website by delivering the most relevant product information to them at the right time, right impression and right cost. Take a look at how you can set up a 14 days campaign in less than 15 minutes here: https://medium.com/@akohubteam/how-to-create-a-sequential-retargeting-campaign-591861d257b5.
I really hope this helps! I admire your determination, good luck!
Hi @Antoine_Green_I welcome to Shopify community
Hope your business is going well during these difficult times. I checked your store website, and I have a few tips and feedback I'd like to share:
1. Free shipping is the biggest enticement for shopping online. And I see that free shipping isn't an option right now. So either you can provide free shipping as Standard (normal delivery), and shipping charges applied for Expedited (faster delivery)| or you could provide free shipping for orders above a certain value. Either of these, it will help you get more sales/increase conversions.
2. Add a favicon to your website. It will help you strengthen your brand and to add a polished look to your website.
3. Show off the products: People tend to rely on engaging visuals to help drive their purchases. Since online buyers do not have the option to experience your products in-person, it's important to draw them in with great product photos, and right now your images are of low-res and small. More on visual cues that can help make your store a better shopping experience can be read here.
4. Have a featured collection based on your offers, new arrivals, best sellers, etc. This will grab the attention of customers when they browse the homepage itself. Also adding more graphic product labels/stickers like Sale, Fast Selling, Free Shipping can help increase your sales by tapping into powerful psychological triggers such as scarcity, social proof, and urgency. You can read more about it here.
I hope this helps!
