Hi guys,


Would love to get some feedback for my shop


It's been 3 days and even with Facebook ads running, the visitors to my page are dwindling and I have not made a single sale yet. Any suggestions?

I’m sorry about your frustrations with driving traffic and then not seeing any conversions.

Let’s start with your website.

First Impression: You have a lot of boxes checked, like a linked announcement bar (though I would highlight it in a different color so that it stands out and show it on all pages) and a favicon. You have a currency localization and solid logo. However, a few things stick out immediately:

  • Your image doesn’t reflect what you sell. When I initially looked on your homepage, I thought you sold bedding. It’s not clear that you sell clothes.
  • The initial message to visitors isn’t very engaging. Free shipping is a great perk to provide, but it’s not doing enough to introduce people to your brand. I would get a better message out here with a strong CTA that stands out. 

In general, I would suggest using visitor behavior to understand what’s going on. For example, your homepage may perform better if your collections are moved up and the “Join the Bold Movement” blurb is removed. Heatmaps will show you where people are clicking and how far they are scrolling. That will help you see what your visitors see.

You can also use click heatmaps and session recordings (to watch individual replays of visits) to evaluate your main navigation. Watch how people move around your site and where they click. Depending on how people use your main navigation, you can expand your collections and move your About and Tracking links to the footer. 

BUT...I’m going to circle back to your question. In reality, I break it into two groups:

  1. Why aren’t people clicking on my ads?
  2. Why am I not getting any sales?

When we look at why people aren’t clicking on your ads, we need to look at the ad. For example, right now you’re using a video. 

  • Start testing out different ad images. Maybe the video isn’t the best method for your audience but an engaging photo is.
  • Also test out different ad copy. Is there different text that could appeal differently?
  • Make sure the copy, product and site match. You are promoting 10% off storewide, but your website doesn’t mention that anywhere. If someone clicks on the ad and can’t find that information on it, there’s a huge red flag.
  • Refine your audience. Use your heatmaps to filter by source and campaign (if you use UTM parameters) to evaluate where they click and how their engagement is different from organic traffic or other campaigns. 
  • As you expand your Facebook ads to feature different products, you’ll be able to use heatmaps and recordings to identify which products worked better for your Facebook audience and help you hyper-focus your efforts on the highest-converting ads. (Though you have no sales now, that will change soon!) 

Now, why aren’t you getting any sales? You’ve done a great job in linking your ad to a product page rather than the homepage. A few potential red flags:

  • You only have five-star reviews. You would think that it’s not a bad thing to have only five-star reviews, but it can raise some eyebrows that the reviews are legit. 
  • Reiterate your free shipping and link to your shipping policy page. 
  • Care information may be your friend here. If you’re curious what people are interested in learning about, run a poll on this page asking for their top buying decision, whether it’s cost, easy care, etc. 
  • Add in a live chat option and contact information. I found your email address under FAQs (it needs to be linked) that says to use the mail button in the bottom right, which I missed completely. It’s not very obvious that it’s the place to email you. Whenever visitors can't find contact information, they get suspicious. I put your contact information in a more visible location (i.e., the footer) and use a live chat instead of the email button. It lets you provide real-time communication rather than delayed communication. Even if you respond to an email in less than 2 minutes, the visitor would still have to leave the site to check for a response and then return. Live chat solves that issue.

I’ll say this again - you really do have a great store here. You’ve put in a ton of effort into making your store great, and it shows. A few tweaks based on visitor behavior is going to make all the difference and will help you understand why people aren’t converting and what traffic your campaign is really generating.  Lucky Orange has heatmaps, session recordings, polls, chat and more with a free trial (no credit card needed) and plans that start at US $10/month.

I like your store design colors, logo and layout look very good!

If your website doesn’t have a blog already, make creating one a priority. But if you have a blog, it gives people a reason to keep coming back. Blogs also help improve your SEO because you’re constantly adding new content to your page.

I have also found that there are only a few products in your store, try adding more products so that your customers will have a lot of options to select from.

Social media has become a huge thing nowadays. I highly recommend taking advantage of that and adding Instagram galleries on your homepage. It will help drive traffic from your site on to your account and vice versa.

The sale you have seems to be a nice deal, however, when you make such a big amount off it might devalue your product. People always need to know why you have made such sales, is it a seasonal sale? or is it because there is no demand for it? Does that mean the product is bad? Instead of giving a discount for nothing, give them rewards for completing certain actions on your store ex. for creating accounts, for leaving a review, for sharing your site, for spending money on your site. It is not difficult for a user to do and you will get so many actions on your site, and you are having discounts anyway.

Use a referral program that will encourage your existing customers to share your products with their friends by giving discounts if the latter have purchased something from your store. With referral programs it is important to carefully set up so that you are not giving huge discounts and not getting anything back. Hi @BoldieLocks

Just take a look at your store and have some suggestions for you:

- The banner and the logo are great, I love it. 

- I think instead of only one featured product, you can try to show more products on your homepage. And Quickview buttons on those products. 


Like this part. But just try to show in one place. 


- Add some thumbnails for your blog posts. 


- I've seen your Instagram and maybe you can consider creating an Instagram gallery down there. You have an Insta account, right?

- I think if your products are on sale, you need to show that before clicking a specific one. Save 40% is not enough to attract your visitors.


And if you have some sale off products, I believe a sale off collection is necessary.
