How can I improve conversions for my online store?

1 0 1

Hi everyone!

I recently made the decision to diversify my sales channels and open a store on Shopify. The store is up and running and has been for about 2 weeks now and I'm constantly growing it. I am driving traffic from our Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest profiles. So far I have an average of 50 visits per day however no conversions, and given the conversion statistics of my products something should already be happening.
The products are already verified because I have been successfully selling them for 2 years on Etsy, so I believe the problem lies elsewhere.
Therefore, I am asking you to review my store and suggest what I can do better.

Hi @Woodz ,

To improve your store's conversion rate, I recommend:

  1. You need to enhance the design of your website, this will also improve UX.
  2. Improve your products descriptions including high quality photos.
  3. Build trust with testimonials and reviews from customers.
  4. Optimize your store for search engines using specific keywords.
  5. Take advantage of social networks to generate traffic and showcase your porducts.

I hope the above tips are helpful for you.

Hi @Woodz ,

This is Garcia at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.

Congrats on your new store! Your store looks stunning and professional, and I can tell you've put in a lot of effort. I understand that building a beautiful website is not simple. From my CRO expertise, I’d love to give you my suggestions about your collection page as hereby:

1. Place the collection at the forefront of the product list

By moving your collection to the beginning of the product list, you will allow visitors to get an overview of the types of products you offer. Presenting a wide-to-narrow option will help potential customers make purchase decisions more easily.

2. Add “Add to cart” button to have higher conversion rate

Based on my experience, one of effective ways to improve higher conversion rates is adding a prominent call-to-action (CTA) button on every product in the product list. This shortcut allows potential customers to make quick purchases without the need for additional clicks to access detailed product information.

You can refer to how a well-know brand such as Colourpop applying this:

3. Highlight vital product features in the list items thumbnails

If you provide too little information in the product list, customers will feel like it’s not worth exploring.

Therefore, you can add the “number of variants” in the product information and / or have one line to describe the type of products to help customers quickly sort and identify the type of products they are interested in.

You can refer to this:

4. Add user ratings and number ratings

Testimonials or ratings always play an important role in building trust with your customers. I bet that your customers will be more trusted when seeing this and no more hesitation to click buy one.

Here is the example:

5. Simplify secondary hover images to focus solely on the product

Secondary hover images are often used to provide additional details about a product. To make the most of this feature, it is recommended to use images that solely focus on the product itself, with a white background and minimal distractions. This will provide customers with a clear and uncluttered view of the product.

I hope you find these suggestions helpful for optimizing your website's conversion rate. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out. Best of luck with your online store!

Warm regards,

Garcia | PageFly team.

Hello @Woodz,

Good day! Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

Having taken a close look at your store, I believe that below suggestions could help drive sales.

1. Consider adding a Home page link in the header menu.
While most users are probably aware that the logo is usually a Home link, certainly everyone doesn't.
2. Developing an optimal SEO product title and URL can assist search engines in accurately identifying your products and increasing traffic to your online store. Hence, strive to create distinctive and precise product titles and URLs.

3. Display store's contact info like phone number, email address, and office address in the Contact Us page.
4. Add sticky header
Adding sticky header allow users to quickly access the navigation, search, and utility-navigation elements without scrolling up to the top of the page. They increase the discoverability of the elements in the header and the chance that users will take advantage of them.
5. Add more blogs to your store. Blogging is a great technique to increase the traffic and ranking of your website. If you blog consistently with high-quality content over a long period, your site will rank higher for specific keywords or topics.
6. Remove Powered by Shopify from the footer and add your own branding to your store footer.
