Why is high traffic not converting to sales on my store?

Hello all,

I am hoping to get some constructive feedback on my store. I’ve had thousands of people visit but not as many purchases. What would make you want to buy my products? Are the products not enticing? Is the store not easily manageable? I’d love to hear your honest feedback.

Thank you,

Hi Kris,

I took a look at your store - have a few questions before I dive into my feedback.

  • Where does your traffic come from/how do people find your site?
  • Of the products you have sold, is there any trend that you can follow?
  • The umbrella of "vitality" is quite large, do people really come looking for coffee & amino acids?

The pricing of your products being so specific to the cent does make me feel a bit suspicious, I'm curious what kind of conversations or comments your customers have made?

My honest feedback is that it seems a bit generic and so I'm not sure how I'd find this site or what would push me to buy (stated benefits are not as powerful as customer testimonials or reviews, or brand power, or a great value). I think it's great that you added a blog (for SEO?) and an about us, but these could probably use more fleshing out as it seems more of an afterthought rather than genuine explanation of why you made this site, who it is for, why you're passionate about what you're doing, etc.

It's great that you've put a chat on your site, have you had much luck hearing from people? I think getting more customer or visitor feedback would be priority #1. If you're not getting much feedback, you can also try out different chat apps - ones like Channel.io can allow you to reach out first to customers so you can induce chats and get more feedback from customers.

Best of luck,

Hello Channel_chris,

I greatly appreciate you taking the time to give me an in-depth review!

I have most of my traffics coming from Facebook, TikTok and Instagram ads.

I am still learning how to target the right audience so that is what I will be working on next.

I will also adjust the pricing and dig deeper into the rest of your review, you have provided some great advice and I thank you for  it!

Gotcha!

Just as a heads up, I know there has been reduced return on ad spend from social ads these days, so you may end up paying for impressions or lots of traffic, without much conversion.

One last suggestion is to reach out to those who bought from you and genuinely thank them and try and start up a conversation with them to understand why they bought, what they liked, and maybe if they would be happy to write a review.
