Feedback for your online store from the community
Hi,
I just recently opened up my store and have been using paid advertising through FB and TikTok and while I think I am getting constant visitors no one is buying. I had someone online help get it all setup and they are helping with the advertising as well. I get tons of messages from people saying they'd like to help me with my Marketing and try and guarantee sales but I want to know if there is anything you can see that stands out as deterring people away from ordering? My site is www.engraved4u.net I have only been advertising a couple weeks at the most so it could take more time possibly. I just want a fresh set of eyes to see if may
Hi, it seems like I'm in the same boat as you with getting plenty of traffic but not getting sales to my store at www.inspiresculptart.com . I do like how your store looks though, so I don't think design is a problem. If your traffic is targeted specifically toward people who would be looking for your service, that's probably not the problem. Some of the things I came across talked about adding security badges and more info in contact / about us pages. It hasn't really helped me yet, but it probably wouldn't hurt to add. Also, the ability to leave / see reviews on product pages. I wish I could be more helpful, but like I said, I am having the same problem. Perhaps someone will review both of our sites.
You both have great stores and great products on offer. I see engraved items a lot on Etsy. You could ad just a few here and see if you can send people over to your domain?
Have you tried offline marketing such as leafleting and popping up a stall in your local town. It's just constant marketing and maybe look over at freelancers to help with design/marketing. Just keep adding to your website as far as products, copy/keywords,images, all the legal/terms/about to just beef up the website.
I don't think the dark colour is that appealing here: https://inspiresculptart.com/
My store if you are wondering is: https://www.shirty-business.com/
Hey, @slashtime10! Welcome to Shopify Community!
I would love to help you out. I'm glad to hear you've invested in store setup and advertising. While this is key to making sales, given you have a solid and effective marketing strategy, the success of your business relies on a combination of various factors, including website design and buyer experience. Now, I had a good look at your website and I noticed a few things that you may want to consider improving. While the overall design looks clean and professional, there are some inconsistencies that could be affecting your ability to make conversions. I'll list down my observations and recommendations below:
While a logo may seem unnoticeable and insignificant, this is actually one of the most important elements of your website. Your logo is the face of your brand, and viewers can draw conclusions about the credibility of your business based on this symbol. When you have two different versions, it makes it difficult for visitors and potential customers to recall your brand. Not only that, it also causes confusion and doubts around your website's trustworthiness. As such, it is crucial to pay close attention to how your logo is designed, how eye-catching and memorable it is, and how it depicts your business. I recommend rethinking your logo and considering the tips suggested by this blog post.
I noticed some grammar mistakes on your website. If you aren't aware, these can hurt your business. Grammar mistakes lead to misunderstandings or confusion so they can deter customers and visitors from trusting your brand. Additionally, grammatical errors depict a lack of attention to detail and that can also negatively affect how visitors perceive your brand. For your online store to appear professional and trustworthy, typos, capitalization errors, and other grammar mistakes need to be rectified. You can hire a professional to proofread your website or use grammar-checking tools, such as Grammarly.
Your product titles are quite long. I suggest making them brief and concise so visitors can recognize the product you're selling at a glance. Website visitors only have a few seconds to decide whether they want to stay on a website or not, so it's ideal to present the information you want them to take in strategically. You don't need to write everything about the product in the title, as that's what the description is for. A few words that accurately describe the product will suffice. This will provide a better buyer experience in your store.
Your product images are of high quality and appear professionally taken, however, they seem to lack authenticity and uniqueness, which is often the case with supplier-provided photos. Chances are visitors and customers have already seen those product images elsewhere as other business owners may use them too. To enhance the credibility of your products, consider taking your own professional product pictures. Authentic images can help build trust with potential customers.
Buyers nowadays are more aware of fraud and scams so they are wary about placing orders on websites. One of the ways buyers verify the legitimacy of an online store is by checking its social media accounts. While it's good that you have set up Instagram, Facebook, and even Pinterest, the lack of activity on these platforms will undermine the effort you've put into your website. Additionally, I noticed your Instagram handle doesn't reflect your brand. It's important to ensure that your branding remains consistent across all social media channels. This will help customers recognize and trust your business. By addressing these aspects, you can enhance your online store's credibility and alleviate buyer concerns.
In addition to what I've discussed, your marketing strategy also comes into play, so make sure you have a solid approach for your advertisements. I thought I'd also some blog posts that will help you with that below:
I hope these pointers help! Should you have questions about any of the above, let me know here and I'll help you further.

Hi @slashtime10 ,
This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder app.
Congrats on your new store! Your store looks so pretty with color panels and high-quality images, and I can tell you've put in much effort. I understand that building a beautiful website is not simple. From my CRO expertise, I'd love to give you my suggestions that might be helpful for your homepage:
1. Design a hero banner by using a website builder
Instead of using a picture with available content on it, you can consider using a background image with no clutter and placing the heading as well as the button on it. This approach will offer more flexibility when changing content or other design elements.
2. Improve your hero banner
The hero image plays a crucial role in creating a positive first impression on visitors. Based on my experience, the hero image should be simple and avoid using distracting elements and clutter that may divert attention from the main content. Therefore, I highly recommend making the following minor changes:
3. Add the CTA button
Hero banner is an effective way to navigate your visitors to your product page. Please take advantage of this section and add a button for it to any product page that you want to sell. This will help you to boost conversion rate.
4. Change the title’s font style
From my own lens, when I first visited your page, I realized that the title is quite hard to read due to its length, wide letter spacing, and font style. Therefore, it would be better to choose another font style, such as Sans serif fonts, to ensure clear visibility and shorten your title.
5. Make the price more prominent
One of the most important aspects of product details is the price because customers care more about it. The price significantly impacts the buying decision of customers. Therefore, you should enlarge the price or make it bold to make it stand out from the rest.
6. Add more images for variants
Variant images allow customers to see different versions of the product, such as different colors, sizes, or styles. This visual representation helps customers better understand the product's features and options, leading to a more informed purchasing decision.
7. Add content about Back-To-School campaign to attract customers
I noticed that your product list quite matches the Back-to-school campaign. Therefore, you can take advantage of these promotional campaigns to boost your CRO. Here are some tipst:
I hope you find these suggestions helpful for optimizing your website's conversion rate. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out. Best of luck with your online store!
