We have a lot of customers who do not activate their accounts. They then try to log in and find that they are unable to do so.
Is there a way to add a "resend activation" link on the login page so customers can request another activation email?
Your registration form (/account/register) essentially operates this way. Customers without accounts simply need to register for an account; somewhat unintuitively, Shopify will not let them register but will send them the activation email. This is a security measure that prevents malicious parties from gaining access to someone else's order history (or other information) without actually having access to that email address.
You could also use the Customer Fields app to create a form where the customer enters their email address and receives a new activation email. If you do this, you'll want to ensure the email verification setting is enabled.
