Add to Cart Issue: When adding a product to cart, the add to cart button shows turning wheel only

As title says and it is very frustrating. When you click add to cart, the cog continues turning but never updates. The product is in the cart but we are finding customers reaching out to say products are adding to their cart so it's causing confusion and looks unprofessional. I have contacted Shopify support and it remains unsolved.

Help, image to show what's happening with the add to cart button.

Can you share the store URL so that I can check the product page?

There may be some script that is causing the issue. Just open the "Network" tab and check. In common web browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox, you can "right-click" and then click "Inspect" or "Inspect Element" to open the developer tools in your browser and then click the "Network" tab and see any broken JS files or CSS are there.

Also, see the "Console" tab in the developer tool window and see if any errors are reported.

You have to follow the below tips to avoid the load speed:

1. Minimize broken links and redirects - Avoid unnecessary Redirects and fix broken links
2. Use a theme that is optimized for performance means a theme that is responsive, fast, and takes minimal time to load the page.
3. Remove all unwanted Shopify Apps which you are not using
You should disable app features you don't use, or you can remove the app if you don't need it. If you are removing an app make sure to remove code that was added as part of the app install process.
4. Removing unused app code is a best practice that avoids running code for unused features, and makes your theme code easier to read.
5. Themes contain CSS, JS, HTML which can increase and affect your store speed. So disable theme features you don't use.

@linzal This kind of issue arise when we added plugin into the store and it will be conflict with our custom js code . I saying that things based on my research for looking into more detail i required store preview link or credential of the store . So , i can properly check in it .

OMG. I fixed it. I am a complete non-techy layperson but followed your steps and found it was an app that we had installed. Removed and deleted the app and hey presto. Works like a dream.

You ledge.
