How can I adjust image and text placement on mobile vs. browser version?

Hi All!

As you can see my heading & sub-heading are below the picture for the mobile version, can anyone tell me how to have it placed on the picture like the browser version.
Also is there a way to shrink a picture to make it fit to the screen, the mobile image is fine but the computer browser image doesn’t sit properly and is too big so it cuts off wording and pictures.

Thank you!

Hi @UBS

Thank you for the info

  • From your Shopify admin dashboard, click on "Online Store" and then "Themes".
  • Find the theme that you want to edit and click on "Actions" and then "Edit code".
  • In the "Assets" folder, click on "base.css, style.css or theme.css" file, depending on which file your theme uses to store its CSS styles. At the bottom of the file, add the following CSS code:
@media only screen and (max-width: 750px) {
.slideshow__text-wrapper.banner__content.banner__content--middle-center.page-width.banner--desktop-transparent.scroll-trigger.animate--slide-in {
    position: absolute;
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
}

.slideshow__text.banner__box.content-container.content-container--full-width-mobile.color-scheme-0d46d0bc-f34e-42c3-911f-67818002b7ce.gradient.slideshow__text--center.slideshow__text-mobile--center {
    background: none;
}
}

  • And Save.

As for your collection banner getting cut off

  • From your Shopify admin dashboard, click on "Online Store" and then "Themes".
  • Find the theme that you want to edit and click on "Customize"
  • Go to the section banner and click the title. Make sure to set the banner height to "adapt to first image". See image below as reference

Hi Laura,

You should be able to place the text on the image through the theme editor. I'm not sure what theme you're using, but in Dawn, there's a Show container on mobile option that needs to be unchecked. There should be a similar option in your theme.
