The main reasons for slow loading images:

a) Images aren't compressed. This guide will show you how to do that: https://speedboostr.com/how-to-compress-images-on-shopify.

b) Images are too large in dimensions. In this case you'll need to update your theme code to load smaller images

c) Images are loading via a plugin (for example a slider banner app like you have on your home page). In this case you want to code a single banner image directly into your theme and remove the sliding banner plugin. Plugins like this require additional resources to load, rather than just pure HTML / Liquid, so they load slow

A and B will help a little, but in your case it's that home page banner that needs to be swapped out. If you need help from a developer to solve that issue, contact speedboostr.com/contact. Our team works on Shopify sites every day and are trained in performance optimization so can also give additional recommendations.

There is nothing that matters more than page speed …

Google says 53% of mobile users abandon sites that take over 3 seconds to load.

If an e-commerce site is making $100,000 per day, a 1 second page delay could potentially cost you $2.5 million in lost sales every year

47% of people expect your site to load in less than 2 seconds.

And Google will reduce the amount of crawlers it sends if your server is slower than two seconds.

Now every line of code increases the amount of time it takes to load a page.

And currently your page has over 323 duplicated properties.

Uses 70 different colors.

And has nearly 50 errors in the HTML and another 62 with 272 warnings in the CSS and you’ve even got duplicated id’s.

You’ve got unused Java and links to social media sites.

You want to send traffic from the social sites to your website and not from the website to social media sites.

And those likes might get you fined thousands in California with the CCPA.

If you're serious about wanting the site to go faster, design it in a CSS grid and use the bare minimum in template code.

And of course optimize and resize your images but if you're serious about making money you should be trying for load times in the milliseconds.

My website also has this problem, and I don't know how to solve this problem.
