Hello - every single time I make an edit to a photo or anything on my website, within minutes I receive an ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR message. This is beyond frustrating. I spend days trying to figure out what's wrong. Can this be fixed?

Hi, @HellaLitCandles!

The ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR usually pops up when the webpage has sent data that Chrome doesn't understand. We can go through some troubleshooting steps now!

  • Reloading the page. Usually, you can reload the page to fix the error. On the Chrome web page, click on the button to the left of the URL bar
  • How is your internet connection? Make sure your device has a connection to WiFi or Ethernet.
  • Clear your cache and cookies. While cache and cookies are designed to make web pages load more quickly, Chrome might have information stored that is stopping the page from loading fully. There is a guide here on how to clear the cache on your device.
  • Do you have a lot of windows, tabs and applications open? Your device may have run out of memory, and can't load the site while also running your apps and extensions. Try closing any extra Chrome windows, tabs and applications that you don't need, and pause any app or file downloads. After this, try reloading the page with the error.
  • Try restarting the computer! Since all processes are ended when the computer is powered off, restarting the computer will give everything a fresh session.
  • Update Chrome. If there are available updates, there might be some bug fixes that can solve your problem. There is a guide here that will show you how to update Chrome.

Let me know how you get on!
