How can I increase the speed of my Ella theme website?

My website is built on Shopify using the Ella theme, but the speed of the website is very slow, and the page load times are excessively long. Is there any solution to increase the speed?

This is Kate from PageFly - Landing Page Builder app. This is a big question. Based on my expertise, I would love to share with you some tips to do and improve your store speed and the  conversion rate.

It’s weird that I could not use Google PageSpeed Insights, or GTMetrix to test your speed. Thus, I use the Google Lighthouse to check your performance. Here is your homepage performance on the mobile:

39 is quite low score and low performance. Please consider reducing the time spent parsing, compiling and executing JS. You may find delivering smaller JS payloads helps with this. The loading time might come from loading style and layout, script evaluation, HTML, CSS,...

You should consider resizing the images also. This tool can show you exactly which image and its size to change and optimize. If you want to optimize your images to help your page loading speed faster, you can use some of the image optimization tools like: ImageOptim, Shopify Online Image Resizer, tinypng.com or imagecompressor.com. And If you have images that go with .PNG file, you can convert them to .JPG or .JPEG files

Optimize your images and delayed loading of off-screen images: Consider partially loading hidden and off-screen images after all your important resources have been loaded to reduce interaction time.

If you want to check it on Lighthouse too, click the right mouse > Inspect > Choose Lighthouse and run to Analyze it. You can do the same thing with other pages to test and improve it

• Effective buttons on featured product(s)
• Include as much positive information as possible to reinforce the benefits and trust
• Have a strong title and brief, effective paragraphs

• Use videos to showcase products
• Use sliders to maximize the space on your landing page
• Have a strong, visually present call-to-action
• Use a countdown timer to create urgency
