Good day. I have closed down my shopify store due to cost and all I really needed was a static web page and migrated to google sites. shopify gave me a transfer code for my domain name (tucows is the registar and shopify according to tucows is domain name provider). Google requires me to log into domain name provider and paste a text code into the DNS configuration to verify domain ownership. how can I verify ownership when I do not have access to shopify anymore?
Hi, @flip3d.
Rio here from the Shopify Community team. I understand that you're looking to verify your domain ownership with Google, but you no longer have access to your Shopify account. I'm here to help!
If you're unable to access that store, you can reach out to our team to initiate the transfer away via help.shopify.com. Just click through the buttons saying "I cannot log in" and you should see the chat button to start a chat with our team.
Please be sure to have the necessary documentation showing that you owned the store so our team can action it faster for you.
