Hi there,
I am tax consultant and adviser. i am offering my services through my website UAE TAX Adviser. It was built on cms but now i am shifting it on shopify. But didn't understand how to setup tax for my services. Basically shopify deals ecom websites as per understanding.
Please guide me in this regards.
Hey, @AngelaNoris
Happy to help. In order to do so, I'd like to know more context around your question/request so I can offer up a solution.
It sounds like you are selling services (as a tax consultant to your clients) and you would like to build this business on Shopify. With that said, what are you looking to accomplish? Are you looking for a way customers can pay for your services through your website? But you are not sure how to charge taxes to the customers when they purchase one of your services?
Any additional context you can provide would be appreciated
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Yes exactly i don't know how customers pay us for our tax advisory services via shopify. and is this possible or not?
Hey, @AngelaNoris
Yep. You can most certainly charge taxes to your customers based on your needs within your Shopify admin under the 'Tax' settings.
We have a guide that outlines how to setup product taxes within your Shopify store. Also, this guide provides an overall summary of how the taxing system works within Shopify.
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Hello @AngelaNoris,
I am Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
Shopify is primarily designed for e-commerce websites that sell physical products, so setting up taxes for a service-based business like yours may not be immediately obvious. However, it is still possible to use Shopify to sell your tax advisory services.
Here are some steps you can follow to set up tax for your services.
1. Set up a product
In Shopify, you will need to create a product for your tax advisory services. This product should be set up as a service rather than a physical product. You can set the price for your services and provide a description of what you offer.
2. Set up tax rates
Once you have created your product, you can set up tax rates in Shopify. You can set up tax rates based on your location and the location of your customers. If you are based in the UAE, you will need to research the tax laws and rates that apply to your services in that country.
3. Collect payment
To collect payment for your services, you can use Shopify's built-in payment gateway or a third-party payment gateway. You can set up payment options such as credit card, PayPal, and other methods.
4. Issue invoices
To provide your customers with invoices for your tax advisory services, you can use Shopify's invoicing system or a third-party invoicing system. You can also set up automatic email notifications to send to your customers when they purchase your services.
5. Provide customer support
Finally, you will need to provide customer support for your tax advisory services. You can use Shopify's customer service tools to manage customer inquiries, provide support, and handle any issues that arise.
While Shopify may not be specifically designed for service-based businesses, it is still possible to use the platform to sell your tax advisory services. With a little bit of setup and customization, you can create a professional-looking website that provides your customers with a streamlined purchasing process and excellent customer service.
