Hi there, our SSL certificate is set to expire on March 14th, 2022 and I was wondering if it will be automatically extended or do I need to get in touch with our hosting provider for that?
Many thanks

Hello, @BJ15.
You do not need to take any action to renew your SSL certificate, as long as your renew your domain with your provider, and you make sure your DNS settings are kept correct then the SSL certificate will be automatically applied by Shopify.
One thing to note though is we only do that when they're attached to a Shopify store. If you were to disconnect the domain at any time and add it elsewhere then you will need to speak with the domain provider about SSL certificates in this case. I hope this helps!

Ivy- i'm not particularly technical so your answer is confusing to me. My Shopify site has an SSL certificate that expires in March of 2024. I've had the site for over three years and i forget where I purchased the cert. Do I need to track down that source and renew my cert or does Shopify take care of all this if we continue to have the domain connected to Shopify (which I do)?
thanks, Brian
