Hello !

I need your help to understand, how improving core web vitals is actually important for the website. Is it a required optimization or a good to have optimization? Have read some case studies, but still want to understand here, which metric is directly correlated or showed an impact after improving core web vitals for your site.
Assumptions :
The current load time is 5-6 seconds

I understand, even read case studies around it. But I am still curious to understand the direct impact of this on the website. I have a product, similar to other website optimization tools for WordPress, that gives the best results (i.e have improved mobiles scores to 90+ from even 20+). I want to market it.

If I reach out to potential Shopify stores which rank bad in PSI and GTMetrix, the owners does not seem to fully understand the importance of PSI. They ask for a metric that directly get impacted and how soon they can see the results.

Do you have any suggestions on this ?

Site speed is crucial for the success of any website. A fast-loading website can improve user experience, increase engagement, reduce bounce rate, and even improve search engine rankings. Here are some options to improve the site speed:

  1. Optimize images: Large images can slow down your website. Compress images without losing quality and reduce their size before uploading them to your website.

  2. Minimize HTTP requests: Reducing the number of HTTP requests can improve your site's speed. Combine multiple files into one, remove unnecessary plugins, and minimize the use of external scripts.

  3. Use a content delivery network (CDN): A CDN can distribute your website's content across multiple servers, making it faster for users in different locations to access your site.

  4. Enable browser caching: Browser caching allows your website's files to be stored on the user's computer, making it faster to load the next time they visit your site.

  5. Minify your code: Minify your HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files by removing unnecessary code and spaces. This can help reduce the file size and improve your website's loading speed.

  6. Use a faster web hosting provider: Consider using a faster web hosting provider. A slow server can affect your website's loading speed.

  7. Use a performance testing tool: Use online tools like websitespeedy, Google PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix to identify the issues that are slowing down your website's loading speed and get recommendations on how to fix them.

By implementing these options, you can improve your site speed, provide a better user experience, and increase engagement. It is also essential to monitor your site's performance regularly and make improvements as needed.
