Search Function

I am trying to figure out a way to improve the search function on my website. I use liquid template, if that matters.

For example, when I search for a word on a product description, it does not return the search. For me, this is a problem.

How can I correct this?

Can we see this in action? Let's see the site and what word to use in the search.

I jump on these forums to help and share some insights. Not looking to be hired, and not looking for work.

Don't hand out staff invites or give admin password to forum members unless absolutely needed. In most cases the help you need can be handled without that.

Here is the site: https://lpviolins.com/

For example, please try searching "mazzamuto". I would have expected that the 'Lessons & Rentals' link would come up, but nothing returns.

This is an accepted solution.

hello @pthrasher

The search call is looking for the word mazzamuto in the fields title, vendor, product_type, variants.title of your products. It looks like is not finding any. I will suggest to verify that you have this word in any of the fields of your products that you want to show.

Also you can make the call to look in other fields but you will need to add these in the code.

@pthrasher btw everything is fine in your shopify to use specific words to search on the bar which is included any product name then your product will show on the search result. so this how search work. ppl don't use description word in the search bar of the website they use google in a specific word like you re-explaining.
