Hello. Since 13th of May we have some issues with sending purchases to analytics. We see in analytics (both universal and GA4) only 40% of the purchases. We did not change anything in the code, no new app installed, no modification was made to the website.
Running some tests we saw that there is a problem with the thank you page. Not all of the orders placed get to the thank you page. The ones that are not recorded in analytics have the final url like this:
https://www.mywebsite.com/25822560352/orders/eab6f41f46b3f1722ef011d20222db91
And the ones that are recorded have the final url like this:
https://www.mywebsite.com/checkouts/c/785402caca749142841c800aaaee78c1/thank_you
This started to happen beginning with 13th of may. No issues until then.
My ads campaigns are very weak since then, they don't have enough data to optimize.
What can I do? Any ideas? Anybody else with this issue?
Thanks
Experiencing the same issue. Issue started May 10th for my store and I noticed the same as you in regards to the thank you page.
Started tracking only 40-50% of orders which heavily impacts marketing campaigns.
I have the same issue now im using add to cart and add payment info till to resolve it im in touch with facebook support
please do you reslove it .i have the same issue .if you have any good news please contact me bourahla.apicole@outlook.com
Has anyone got any solution to this issue yet?
It is still continuing to impact my store till now and since the issue is from Shopify's end, my support ticket is still going on but the only reply they give is that the issue is still under investigation and they have no update at the moment.
It's frustating that they cant resolve this issue, it has been well over a month since it started. Also, it has hugely impacted the marketing campaigns, performance has been affected for all of them and there are large fluctuation in terms of how they are performing, all of this because of incorrect learning in the last 1 month of running.
Please let me know if anyone has found a solution, other than moving to a different checkout system altogether, or has anyone heard from shopify support about this yet?
Can you please let me know what you exactly did that resolved the issue?
