Why is my domain showing A and CNAME entered incorrectly?

Hi! I recently bought a domain on name cheap, I changed the DNS settings on the name cheap to the settings that were provided to me by shopify, but it says that the A and CNAME are entered incorrectly.

Here's a simple, quick fix to that problem. If NameCheap is your website hosting services provider, follow these steps;


1. Log in to your Namecheap account.
2. From the left sidebar, select "Domain List" and click on the Manage button next to your domain:

3. In the Nameservers section, select your preferred option (in your case, the CNAME Record and A Record must be changed/corrected). Use the drop-down menu and click on the green checkmark to save the changes.
