Hi, Was there a solution to this issue? I am facing a similar situation.

Sofia,This is not sufficient. I need to refund a credit card transaction andissue a new gift card to a different customer.Removing the original customer is not a solution for me.

Has this been resolved? We have the same issue and would like to be able to refund an order to a gift card and issue the gift card to the bride all without notifying the original customer. Any solutions Shopify?
