A Shopify merchant is seeking an app to schedule bulk price edits where each product or variant can have a unique sale price, with all changes going live at the same time and automatically reverting afterward.
Early feedback suggested Hextom Bulk Product Edit/Price Editor as a partial fit: it can schedule price edits and revert them, but setup may be cumbersome if many products need individually tailored prices. Later comments note Hextom can also use CSV uploads for unique product or variant prices, with scheduled jobs and automatic rollback.
Newer recommendations include:
EditEngine, promoted by its developer, which schedules markdowns and automatically restores original prices after the sale window. A walkthrough link and screenshot were shared.
Pricely by Meridian Apps, also promoted by its developer, emphasizing price snapshots, one-click rollback after mistakes, and verification that variants updated correctly.
Trove and Price Rules by Automately were mentioned as possible alternatives.
The discussion remains open, with no single confirmed best solution. Key evaluation points are variant handling, CSV support, scheduled auto-revert, and rollback if a bulk edit fails.
Can you recommend an app that will allow me to bulk edit all my prices (different prices per product, not a blanket discount) and schedule the change to go live at a certain time, and revert following the sale?
There are a lot of apps that all do the same thing, I cant find a solution for when each product has a unique discount but all need to be scheduled to go live at the same time
I’m looking for this same thing. Best I have found is the Hextom Bulk Product update app which works really well but isn’t quite what you’re looking for. With the Hextom app you’d have to set up a bunch of scheduled price edits for products or groups of products (controlled maybe by tags or collections) and let the scheduled edits go through one by one. Then at the end you can revert all the changes pretty easily. It’s just a pain to set up and what we really need is the ability to fine tune pricing on individual products or variants with a schedule for the price change that automatically reverts at the end of the scheduled period.
Late to this but I had the same wish for ages. The auto revert part is what most tools get wrong, you end up babysitting the undo. I ended up building my own app to fix it, called EditEngine. You schedule the markdown, pick when it goes live, and it flips back to the original price on its own when the sale window closes.
I realize this is from a while ago, but does anyone have new app suggestions for scheduled bulk price changes? I’m curious if there have been updates or if additional tools are now available that can better meet these specific needs. If anyone’s found something even more efficient than EditEngine, I’d love to hear your experiences and recommendations!
EditEngine’s scheduled auto-revert is solid — the thing I’d add to your checklist is whether it can undo a change after the fact, not just revert on schedule. If a bulk edit goes sideways mid-sale, you want a snapshot to roll back to. Full disclosure, that’s why I built my own — it’s Pricely by Meridian Apps ($9/mo flat): it snapshots every price before a change so any edit or sale is one-click reversible, and it verifies each variant actually updated (bulk edits silently skip some). Happy to walk you through setting a sale up in it so you can compare it against EditEngine — just say the word.
I had a similar issue recently. I found that Hextom’s Bulk Price Editor was effective. It allows you to upload a CSV file containing unique prices for each product or variant. You can schedule this as a job, and it will automatically revert to the original prices at a specified end time.
Trove and Price Rules by Automately offer similar functionalities if Hextom’s solution does not suit your needs. It is advisable to verify how any chosen application handles variants, especially if you have many, as this can sometimes be an area of inconsistency.
