Hi.
In my store I have over 50 items that change every month. I do however, have about 8 staple items that are all priced at £4. I would like to offer a deal to my customers, that would allow them to buy 3 of these staple items for £10, a saving of £2, and then the same saving for every multiple of 3 thereafter, so 6 for £20, 9 for £30 etc. I can’t find a way to do this via the standard Shopify discounts and have looked at a couple of apps, but can’t seem to find a suitable one.
Does anyone know of an app that would be able to do this? Or a way to do it via Shopify discounts?
Thanks in advance.

Hello @evelynsbakery ,
This logic is possible with the Boxi Box Builder app using a tiered fixed price discount. Please take a look at the screenshot.
You can set up different purchase rules, limit the quantity per product, etc.
Hi @evelynsbakery
This can be easily done by using Volume Discount feature by BOGOS app:
-
Select your 8 staple items
-
Choose “Count different products”
- Set discount tier
→ 3 steps only to allow customers to buy any 3, 6, or 9 items from the 8 staples and get savings.
Plus, you get yourself a fully customizable volume discount widget from 2 display type, content, color,… like everything!
Why not try it yourself when you can get 7-day free trials of BOGOS?

Hi @evelynsbakery
I know Shopify’s built-in discount tools don’t support tiered offers like “3 for £10, 6 for £20” in a smooth way. If you’re still looking, you can try Easify Box Builder. Fixed quantity discount is actually an upcoming feature, but for now, you can already set up automatic discounts based on quantity – so customers still get the pricing you want, like 3 items for £10, 6 for £20, and so on.
Everything works without custom code, and you can choose which products to include while keeping inventory properly tracked. Here’s how it works:
- Create a Tiered Discount Quantity Box:
- In the Step section, create 1 step and select your product
If your items are separate products instead of variants, you can either select them manually or use a collection to include them.
If you have a single product with multiple variants and want them to appear as individual items like in my demo, simply select “Display Variants as Individual Products.”
- Set the discount based on quantity:
Just with 3 simple steps, you can set up a store experience exactly the way you want – no coding needed.
The app is new and currently 100% free, early users will keep it free forever, even after we roll out paid plans.
I hope you’ll try it, let me know if you need help setting it up, or feel free to reach out via 24/7 live chat support in the app.
If this was helpful, a like or marking this as the solution would mean a lot and could help others too.

hi @evelynsbakery
You should use Volume/Quantity Discounts for this scenario with the discount type ‘tiered discount‘. this will allow you to reward your shoppers who buy more of the same products with tiered pricing. Volume discounts work exactly like your requirement - you can set up pricing tiers such as “Buy 3 = £10, Buy 6 = £20, Buy 9 = £30” for your 8 staple items.
You can use MBC Bundles to create this volume discount in simple steps. ( MBC Bundles App | Buy X Get Y - Shopify Bundle App & BOGO | Buy X Get Y... | Shopify App Store )
to set this up:
-
create a new bundle,
-
select Volume Discount from the presets (or build your own),
-
then add your 8 staple products and configure the tiered pricing structure.
You can enable the quantity selector to let customers easily adjust quantities to hit your discount tiers.
HOPE THIS HELPS!
