300 daily viewers with tiktok ads not converting

Making this post pretty much to ask for opinions on what to change on my website in order to start converting. This store is pretty much a copy of another store I have that already converts in Spain. However I decided to try it in the rest of Europe, not working as I intended so I’m open to opinions. I do realise the countdown timer and “huge” discounts are sometimes a big no but I A/B tested both on my converting store for quite a while and having that urgency did in fact increase the conversions, maybe it works different in the rest of Europe?

My store: https://milanojewel.com/

Be aware that it’s better optimized on mobile as I launch ads on tiktok 98% of my viewers are on mobile

Quality of traffic is a key component to conversions. My first thought is that the Tiktok viewers you’re targeting aren’t in “buy mode” or are not your target audience.

Different social media users from different regions also can behave differently, so a strategy in 1 region may not work exactly the same in another region. A professional marketer could help to make sure your ads are dialed in. Another idea, try running ads using Google Shopping / Google Ads. If those do not convert, then you likely have a problem with your site or your offer, since those are the most basic guaranteed way of making sales (in my experience, although when I owned a store we did not advertise on TikTok).

Quick look at the site, there is no About page or brand logo, these 2 things missing could affect the trust factor.

The countdown timer can work for some people but not others. Experienced online shoppers may see this for what it is, a simple marketing ploy. Having lived in various countries, it’s interesting because in some countries there are hacky marketing tactics both online and offline, example like at the gym, “sign up today to get this special limited time rate that is only good for today” haha, but if you know the tactic, you know it’s just a ploy, and you can come in any time and ask for the same rate and they will grant it.

When expanding to a new marketplace, I would rely on the basics: A trustworthy site, some type of first time customer discount if they sign up for the email newsletter, and experiment with multiple advertising channels. Then start experimenting or A/B testing from there to further refine the funnel.
