Account closed without warning

I got the following email from shopify, and my account was instantaneously shut down without warning.> > # Your Shopify Payments information couldn’t be verified

Anyone have this issue? It so frustrating how a company would do that to a client, they should maybe send an email prior saying please update your information, I contacted customer service and they had to escalate because they don’t know why the account was closed.

48 hours later and still no response, I read online and people have said they have waited 4 months!

I have the same issue. After we tried to upload our verifications for several times, which didnt work apparently, they closed our shop just like that. Our customers arent able to pay anymore. This is now going on for 3 days, and we are loosing customers and a lot of revenue. We can only get contact through support, and they tell is it is at high priority, but still we are waiting. They are killing our business. It is bizar that they do this to a company who is working so hard to get satisfied customers. We are considering to get a lawyer.

They didn’t even ask me to upload anything, they just shut it down.

Before spending so much on marketing they should maybe add a few employees to the account team, to retain the accounts they actually have.

It’s despicable, I was thinking of contacting an attorney as well, but not looking to fight, just want my account open again, or someone in customer service that can give me clarity and guide me how to get the account open.

For us the same, just want to get the account open. We did nothing wrong. If they would have doubts they could withhold the payout, but why shut down our store? And they tell me it has high priority, but every hour counts for us. I dont have the feeling they are aware of that.

I had this issue at the beginning of the month when I created my store account. I have since reached out to customer support and it’s been weeks with no update or assistance. Then last night I got the email email that you got, and my store has been closed on Shopify. I reached out to customer support for the third time today and provided my two trouble tickets that are still open, and once again I was told I’d be reached out to.

This is wild.
