Hi all,

Does anyone know how I add a checkbox or sentence into my cart (or checkout) page asking customers if they are 18 years old or over (as I sell alcohol)?

Thanks for reaching out in our Community forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.

Shopify has a guide for how to add age verification to your stores checkout page which you can be found here. Please keep in mind that this option is only available for merchants on the Shopify Plus Plan. If this plan isn’t right for you, you can absolutely add a checkbox to your cart page. I always suggest the Terms and Conditions Checkbox app as this is currently a free app with great reviews. You will be able to add a checkbox to your cart that customers must check before they checkout. If you have any questions about the app, or need a hand setting it up, feel free to reach out to the developers directly as they could provide some more information.
