Add "SOLD OUT" image overlay to products in collection view with Debut Theme

I would like to know how to add the “SOLD OUT” image overlay to my products that are no longer available.

Currently, when customers scroll through my collection view there is a small badge under the product photo that says “Sold Out” but the image doesn’t have an overlay and the price still shows so it’s really easy to miss. This is not very user friendly.

I have read other discussions that give a code to paste into product card grid liquid but I cannot for the life of me find where to paste this code, if I’m supposed to delete other parts of the code and if I’m supposed to “wrap” this code.

If someone could give me just a little more insight I would be so grateful!

Hello, Similarly here. If I am going to give you the code and you do not really know where to put the code, that does not make sense. Instead of that, would you mind to give your store access to me so that I can add the functionality. Please DM

Hi there,

Why not try to put the collection cover animated with watermark. You can use PicAmaze to do the animations and then upload the GIF as a collection cover. Try with this one or send me the actual collection cover you want animated.
