Adding a newntemplate to an unpublished theme

hai

iam currently developing my website with a theme that is not live. i wanted to create a new template and assign a new page to is. so i went to the live theme created a template and added a new page to it and its working fine.but now i want to add anew template again and add another page .but even i follwed the same steps as above the new page is always directly taking me to the default page . please help ..

Hi,

You will not see the template if the theme is not published. You can view the template in the theme editor even theme is not publish.
