I’ve had a custom photo frame created for certain products in my store so that when they’re viewed as part of a collection, they stick out as being part of a special offering.
Does anyone know how I could render an image that overlays my product image?
Here’s an example of what I’d like to achieve without just uploading the photo with the frame already on (because it changes the size of the product image next to the others).
Hi @plants4friendz While this can be done as a theme customization , as you mentioned the simplest approach is actually to edit the images so the frame is part of the literal image and the image is scaled down proportionally to maintain the same dimensions and aspect ratio.
If you have lots of products there’s plenty of image editing software that have a batch mode or macros.
And upside of this approachs time/effort tradeoff is the images show like that everywhere, i.e. multi-channel: facebook,google-shopping, etc , and not just for the online-sales channel.
For a customization implementation would vary wildly by theme as one issue is the grid probably needs to change to not clip the frame and make sure it doesn’t block other products images/cards.
