Adding custom product settings to the Admin Product Page

Hello,

I was wondering you someone has an answer whether it is possible to add custom section inside Admin Product Page (for example to the sidebar on the right-hand side) to allow merchants to add additional values (to be used in app) on the Product Edit Page? If yes, maybe it is possible only via API, without any intervention with liquid templates from the merchants side?

There are some resources online and similar question here, but maybe something changed since then.
