Adding free plan to a published App

Hello,
Can we add a free plan to our app if it has already been published in the Shopify App Store? Currently, all of the plans in my App are paid. And what are the steps to add a Free Plan.

Definitely! You can edit your app description and plans anytime.

I think the only constraint is that there are max 4 plans available and you need to remove one of the existing ones to have a free plan.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Log in to your Partner Dashboard and go to the “Apps” tab. Select your app from the list.
  2. Click on the “Plans and Billing” tab in the left sidebar.
  3. Scroll down to the “Add a Free Plan” section, and click on the “Create a free plan” button.
  4. Set up the details of your free plan, such as the name, description, and features that will be included for free. Make sure you also set any usage limits or restrictions if necessary.
  5. Once you have configured your free plan to your satisfaction, click on “Save” to create it.
  6. You may also want to update your app listing in the Shopify App Store to reflect the new free plan. To do this, go to the “App Overview” tab in your Partner Dashboard, and edit the description of your app to include information about the free plan. Be sure to follow Shopify’s guidelines for app listings when making these updates.
  7. After saving your changes, your app listing will be updated to reflect the new free plan. Customers will now be able to sign up for your app using the free plan option.
