Regarding your concern about to prevent pagge automatically scroll when changing variant, before making any changes please help me to duplicate your theme first for a backup version and follow my steps below. Also you just need to search scrollintoview in normal case
Step1: Online stores > Themes > Edit code > search for your theme.css
Step2: Paste the code below to the very end of the file
p.afterpay-paragraph {
display: block !important;
}
If not i suggest you should open an help ticket to Afterpay support they will able to help you fix the issue faster.
