I am trying to implement code that will automatically take my product variant options (for instance, Bands, Cups and Sizes) and sort them alphabetically. I couldn’t get the solution mention here (https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-design/alphabetically-sort-product-variant-options-supply-theme/m-p/410645#M106626) to work for my chosen theme (Focal). Any advice/insight would be greatly apprecaited.
Note: sorting in the Shopify admin is not an option for me as not all variants offer the same options. For example,
- Product A comes in colour Black and Red
- Product A variant 1 (A-1) comes in band sizes 30, 32, 34 and cup sizes C, D, E
- Prodcut A variant 2 (A-2) comes in bands 28, 30, 32, 34 and cup sizes A, B, C, D, E, F
- The way Shopify works, A-1 will be sorted correctly but A-2 will display band sizes as 30, 32, 34, 28 and cup sizes as C, D, E, A, B, F
- The solution I’m looking for should dynamically update A-2 to be sorted alphanumerically (i.e. 28, 30, 32, 34 and A, B, C, D, E, F)
