Hi everyone! I’m developing an extension for a client that’s using an already made theme that’s (as far as I’m aware) custom made by another developer. I’m trying to make an app block, but keep running into an issue where it doesn’t show the extension in the “add block” section. If I change the schema to make it an app embed it will show up in the “App Embed” section, but no matter what I do it won’t show up in the “add block” dialog. Has anyone run into an issue like this, or know of a possible fix? Any advice is much appreciated!

As noted in the App Block documentation, app blocks are not compatible with statically rendered sections. If the theme you’re trying to add the app block to doesn’t follow the Online Store 2.0 best practices, ie. it’s a legacy or otherwise unsupported theme, then a merchant won’t be able to add an app block to it.
Do other app blocks show up in the “add block” dialog? Does this happen on every page or just specific pages?
