I need this as an option⌠strange that it isnât really, especially after 2 years of requests for it⌠surely it wouldnât take too much back-ground work to allow both discounts.

HI, these discount stuff works well, as i have seen it many times on paintball guns website.
We definitely need this feature as well!
Itâs totally weird that Shopify would not act upon this request by so many users for such a long time.
Seems so easy to install a new class of promo codes that would allow âdiscountâ + âfree shippingâ. Any other eComm system offers thisâŚ

i was looking all possibility to create a discount code percentage together with free shipping, but couldnât see any options.

I think maybe the best way is to bombard their Facebook. Ridiculous there is no update on this. So rather than their suggested feature request vote lets do it on their facebook directly. Publically. Go here and add a post about it.
Copy and paste something like this or copy mine so maybe they will get the message:
21 pages of feature requests over 2 years to such a simple request. Businesses who use shopify need a solution to allow Free Shipping + Discount at the same time like all other shopping cart platforms. Come on Shopify are you really interested in being the best shopping cart platform or not???

"Shopify, 21 pages of the same, basic, feature request for over 2 years, with no reply or update. Just tumble weeds. Businesses on the Shopify platform need a solution to allow Free Shipping + Discount at the same time, like âallâ other shopping cart platforms. Itâs a basic feature. We shouldnât have to install buggy bloat ware apps to achieve such a simple task that should be natively supported. Are you really interested in being the best shopping cart platform? At least you got a response. Nice response from them but doesnât really help the many businesses who need a broader solution. So keep âvotingâ for feature change our way âŚ

This is just so ridiculous. 22 pages, 2 years, what sign is Shopify still waiting for?
All discount options are so outdated itâs unbelievable.
Besides the obvious Discount + Free Shipping, they also should add a âfixed amountâ to buy X and get Y, not just % on free.

Yes, itâs beyond ridiculous. I canât wait until my colleague retires, and I take over the website and switch us to a better platform away from Shopify. My husband had an issue with a Wordpress update, contacted them and they put a whole team on it to try to solve the issue immediately. On the other hand, this request been going on for years and is a basic problem most people would think would be a standard option. Clearly Shopify does not care about its customers.
