Shopify, please jump on this! It is not helpful that there’s been no movement on an update - I am trying to make my life easier and not have to create orders for about 30 local friends/family who want the friends/fam discount and are picking up in person. How is there not even a workaround that you don’t have to pay for through an app?

I need this feature as well. My customers want it and I don’t want to set free shipping all the time.

Hello,
I am keen for this feature as well - for when customers win competitions and their prize is a free product and free shipping. Unsure how I can offer this without applying two codes at checkout.
We also desperately need a more functional discount code system that can handle tasks like “Buy X and get free shipping” or stackable discount codes.
Very disappointing to see no movement on this with so much demand in the community and threads dating back to 2013!
Our store really needs this functionality. Since we have added shipping to our order value under £10, we have had to stop giving fixed amount discount codes.
I believe the reason Shopify will not offer the combination of discount with free shipping is that then no one would upgrade to the next plan up as it effectively replaces gift cards.
I think an alternative option that would work for me is to have the “free shipping/PICK UP IN PERSON” shipping option NOT BE THE FIRST AUTO-SELECTED SHIPPING OPTION. Let’s be honest, customers don’t always read things through. Let’s force them to personally select a shipping option. That way, they’re forced to read through the options and hopefully leave the “pick up in person” option alone.

How does one manage an affiliate campaign without free product and shipping?
Are you able to give an update on how many votes you have received to have this feature implemented?

On shopify we can’t apply two discounts offer on one products. You can offer percentage discount or Fixed with free shipping but percentage and fixed can’t be used on the same time. Thanks
Thank you for your reply. We need to be able to offer a percentage discount plus free shipping. It’s beyond important and that is what everyone here is saying.

Dear Sir,
As we all struggle through this “thing” we find ourselves in, maybe Shopify development team can help eliminate one of the problems/issues we Shopify store owners face every day.
There has been a Topic circulating for some time now (3 years?) with respect to “Apply Discount with FREE Shipping”. I won’t go into the nut and bolts of the want, however, during this time/crisis, it sure would help all of us Store Owners, especially given the fact that most of our sales revenue have fallen off or stopped completely.

- 1 vote for me - without it free shipping > $ does not work when people use a discount - they often end up having to pay for shipping.
