I’m a dropshipping seller.
When I receive an order from a customer and suddenly the customer asks to cancel the order, or I cancel the order because the item is out of stock and I can’t ship it, shopify payments charges me a fee of (2.9%+$0.30).
I want to prevent this from happening.
Is it possible to solve this by manually switching the payment capture method?
I need your advice.
Thanks in advance.
hi my dear brother zero sales in my store bro can you help me ??
Hello Wealthlly,
You can set up your store so that your payment provider authorizes the order amount on your customer’s card, allowing you to manually capture the payment when you’re ready (within the authorization period). This is also a good way to avoid payment being automatically captured for risky orders and give you time to determine if you are able or willing to fulfill the order. I, personally, recommend always having manual payment capture set up on stores where it is feasible to have each order examined before it’s processed.
Here’s a link to the Shopify Help Center page that covers setting up your payments for manual capture: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/payments/payment-authorization#set-up-manual-payment-capture
