Automatic discount for for first time customers

Hello!

I want to set an automatic 20% off discount for all first time customers. How can I do this without using an app? If not, which apps are best?

You can make use of Omnisend to set a welcome message that will be accompanied with a discount code that only new customers can see, so they can make use of the code at the checkout.
