Automatically change template + continue selling when out of stock?

Hi all.

I am currently using the Prestige theme and am looking for a way to:

  • automatically change the template to ‘pre-order’
  • automatically ‘enable continue selling when out of stock’

when a product’s stock reaches 0.

Is there a way to do this?

Perhaps I didn’t make myself very clear in the original post, apologies.
I’m looking for a way to differentiate pre-order and in-stock purchases.

I would like to know if either of the following can be achieved:

1 )
When I have 1 item in stock,
if a customer adds 2 to cart,
1 will be marked as stock item and the other will be a pre-order item,
ideally with separate items, with different line properties.

2 )
Only when an item is out of stock,
The product buy/add-to-cart button changes to “pre-order” and,
the continue selling feature becomes “enabled”.
